SCOR

The Supply Chain Operations Reference Model (SCOR) is a model developed by the Supply-Chain Council (SCC) to provide a standardized method of measuring supply chain performance. The SCOR model is built around six major processes:

  1. plan,
  2. source,
  3. make,
  4. deliver,
  5. return,
  6. and enable.

Each of these processes is further broken down into sub-processes and activities, which are then used to create a set of metrics that can be used to benchmark against other organizations. The aim of the SCOR model is to improve communication between supply chain partners and to identify opportunities for improvement.

The SCOR model has been adopted by many leading organizations as a way to measure and improve their supply chain performance. In the context of logistics, the SCOR model can be used to help optimize transportation and warehousing operations.

In general, the SCOR model can be used to help organizations in any industry to measure and improve their supply chain performance. However, the model is particularly well-suited to the logistics industry due to its focus on transportation and warehousing operations.
