Planned Date

Planned date is the date an operation such as a receipt, shipment, or delivery of an order is planned to occur.

Planned dates are important in logistics because they help ensure that all necessary resources are available when they are needed. Poorly planned dates can result in disruptions to the supply chain and ultimately cause delays in receiving products or services.

  • Planned Date should be entered in the format YYYY-MM-DD.
  • Example: A shipment of parts is scheduled to arrive at a factory on May 1, 2019. The planned date for this shipment is 2019-05-01.

It is also important to note that the planned date is different from the actual date. The actual date is the day on which the operation actually occurs. In many cases, the actual date will be different from the planned date due to unforeseen circumstances such as delays in transit.
