Consignee
A consignee is the party to whom goods are shipped and delivered. The receiver of a freight shipment, they may be the same as or different from the consignor.
In most cases, the consignee will be responsible for clearing customs and paying any applicable duties and taxes.
They may also be responsible for arranging transportation from the port or airport to their final destination.
To ensure a smooth process, it is important that all necessary information is provided to the consignee in advance, including contact details, import permits (if required), and delivery instructions.
