Freight Forwarders Institute

Freight Forwarders Institute (FFI) is an industry association that represents the freight forwarding industry. It was founded in 1965 and has over 1,000 members, including freight forwarders, 3PLs, and related service providers.

FFI’s mission is to promote and protect the interests of the freight forwarding industry, including issues such as:

  • customs compliance,
  • trade policy,
  • infrastructure development,
  • it also provides education and training programs for members and the broader logistics community.

One of FFI’s most important functions is to provide a forum for the sharing of information and best practices among its members. It does this through regular events such as conferences and webinars, as well as its magazine and website.

FFI also advocates on behalf of the freight forwarding industry with governments and other organizations. For example, it recently played a leading role in developing an industry-specific global trade compliance program.

In short, FFI is a key resource for the freight forwarding community, providing education, networking opportunities, and advocacy on behalf of its members.
